Hittite Geographical Names (HGN) is a collection of geographical names attested in the Hittite written sources, based on data sets generously made available by Adam Kryszeń (resulting from the project Toponyme der Hethiter), and expanded by data provided by Max Gander and Mark Weeden as well as by own research. It aims to integrate geographical names with divine and personal names within the search tool LAMAN. In its present state, classifiers (determinatives) are not systematically noted.
Together with the related databases Hittite Divine Names and Hittite Personal Names, HGN has been conceived and initiated by M. Cammarosano in 2016 within the DFG-funded research project Hittite Local Cults.
